US fighter jet manufacturer Lockheed Martin  is ready to set up a plant to produce its F-16 aircraft in India,  CEO Phil Shaw told reporters on the opening day of the Singapore Air Show 2016. “We…support the Make in India initiative,” he said, although would not not commit to a time frame.
Lockheed Martin currently manufactures one jet a month from its plant in the US and has a series of contracts and joint ventures in India that employ over 1,000 staff.
