Electric car sales in China are expected to reach 220,000 to 250,000 this year, putting it ahead of the US for the first time the Chinese Association of Automobile Manufactures (CAAM) is forecasting.
Worldwide and US  sales will hit 600,000 and 180,000 respectively, CAAM’s Deputy Secretary  Xu Yanhua, told a conference over the weekend; and although China had achieved rapid development in electric vehicles, quality instead of quantity should be the focus to ensure the sustainable development of the industry.
