Araz Free Economic Zone to get new airport on border between Iran and Azerbaijan

Araz Free Economic Zone: Iran is planning to build a 300-ha new airport on its border with  Azerbaijan in the Araz Free Economic Zone, the Zone’s Managing Director Mohsen Khadem Arab-Baghi said today. The airport will be able to handle  both passenger and cargo aircrafts, he added.  Iran created the 53,000-ha FEZ  nine years ago stretching  from the city of Julfa to the villages of Khudaferin, Jananlu and Gulubeyli.
