Caspian Sea gas supplies to Europe to be secured by trilateral arrangement

Caspian Sea gas supplies to Europe: Turkey, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan are to set up a trilateral mechanism to coordinate their energy policies, in a move that is likely to secure a supply route from the offshore fields of the Caspian Sea through Turkey to Western Europe. The idea of the three countries working together (and possibly with Bulgaria) emerged after a meeting  between Turkmenistan’s President  Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedov and his Turkish counterpart President Recep Tayyip Erdo in Ankara this week.
