Overseas investors take a look at $300m Caspian wind power station

Caspian wind power: A number of private-sector investors from China, the UAE and Germany have expressed an interested in backing the development of a wind power station in the Caspian Sea, the chairman of Azerbaijan’s State Agency on Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources  Akim Badalov claimed this week.
The station is expected to cost between $300m and $330m and is part of Azerbaijan’s plans to increase its share of renewable energy sources to 9.7% of its total energy consumption by 2020 – three times higher than the proportion today. One third of this is expected to come from wind energy.
