Nakhchivan to be joined to Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway

The Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Azerbaijan’s exclave that is situated between Armenia, Iran and Turkey, is to be joined by a spur to the new Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway,  it was announced this week. Work on the spur will begin once the the main line connecting Azerbaijan to Turkey via Georgia has been completed, in principle by the end of the year.  AzerNews
