TASIM: Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have agreed to start work on Caspian Sea the segment of the Trans-Eurasian Information Super Highway (TASIM) that will run across the bed of the Caspian Sea by the end of the year, Azerbaijan’s Communications and High Technologies Minister Ali Abbasov told reporters today (January 17). He said that he expected to sign a contract with Kazakhstan by the middle of 2015. The TASIM project will create a major transit line from Frankfurt to Hong Kong linking largest information exchange centres in Europe and Asia, and will run through China, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey to Germany.
