Ukraine proposes Baltic-Black Sea transport corridor with Azerbaijan

Baltic-Black Sea transport corridor: Ukraine has presented Azerbaijan  with a draft agreement for the development of an international transport corridor running from the Baltic to the Black Sea, its Deputy Prime Minister and Regional Development Minister Gennady Zubko told meeting of the joint intergovernmental Azerbaijani-Ukrainian Commission on economic cooperation in Baku.
“The large transport corridor would synchronize several routes and would play an important role in the strengthening of trade and economic relations,” he said. “A single management body is expected to be set up [with a remit] to form a comprehensive strategy for the development of freight transportation operations in the region.”
Ukraine and Azerbaijan are already cooperating within the framework of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR).
