Bahrain LNG distribution hub: Gazprom is looking at the feasibility of setting up  a liquefied natural gas distribution hub in Bahrain, the  Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko said yesterday, after a Russian business delegation returned from a trip to the Gulf island state.
Increasingly in  need of new energy supplies to support its industrial and urban development, this would not by Bahrain’s first foray into LNG. At the end of last year its state-run  Nogaholding reached an agreement with an international consortium made up of Teekay LNG  (US), Samsung C&T (South Korea) and GIC (Kuwait) for the construction of an LNG receiving and regasification terminal in  the  Hidd Industrial district.
