AIIB Investment Bank attracts over 50 potential members – including Taiwan

AIIB Investment Bank: According to the Chinese news portal Sohu, 52 countries from across the globe have applied for membership of the new Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank – including Taiwan. So far, 31 states have been approved as co-founder and applications from a further 20 are being processed or are under consideration –  Russia, France, Italy, Austria, Turkey, Australia, the Republic of Korea, the Netherlands, Brazil, Georgia, Denmark, Egypt, Kyrgyzstan, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Iceland, Spain , Portugal and Israel – as well as its island neighbour that China still regards as part of the PRC.
