Space as well as energy on agenda for Putin visit to China

Putin visit to China: The possibility of closer cooperation between Russia and  China in the space as well as the energy sector is likely to be high on the agenda when President Putin visits Beijing next week, the Russian Ambassador to Beijing Andrey Denisov predicted yesterday. The two countries were already actively discussing the prospect of working together to develop a heavy rocket and space stations, he said.”The Chinese space industry was largely created using our technology,” he claimed. “While it has long reached the level of independent development ….there is potential for [further]cooperation …. [including] the delivery of rocket engines.”
Work on the development of the so-called Eastern Route gas pipeline running from Siberia to northeastern China was “progressing successfully” he added,  while negotiations over a second Western route continued.
