Armata tank display prompts Germany and France to develop Leopard 3

Leopard 3 : The recent unveiling of Russia’s new Armata tank at the Red Square Victory parade has prompted the defence ministries of Germany and France to start work on the development of a new tank of their own to replace the Leopard 2, according to reports in Die WeltThe Leopard 2 first saw service in 1979 and since then has  been deployed in both Kosovo and Afghanistan, but is due to be phased out by 2030.
