Russian billionaire Mikhail Fridman’s Alfa Group is planning to plough the proceeds from the sale of oil firm TNK-BP back into European telecoms acquisitions. The man in charge of his telecoms division Alexei Reznikovich said today that Fridman was looking for “$1bn plus” telecoms deals, primarily in Europe, as well as smaller deals of between $20m to $200m in the US related sectors such as data centres.
