Customs Union diamond export rules: Companies wishing to export diamonds to countries outside the Customs Union will no longer have to put them up for sale in their country of origin, the Eurasian Economic Commission ruled earlier this week. The new Customs Union diamond export rules are expected to speed up the process which until now required exporters to wait 10 days for domestic offers before trying to sell their diamonds outside the CU.
