Kazakh GDP growth forecast to slow down to 1.9% this year – ADB

Kazakh GDP: A new report from the Asian Development Bank predicts that Kazakhstan’s GDP growth will slow down to  1.9% this year before recovering to 3.8% in 2016. Inflation should ease, but weak oil prices will turn the current account into a  small deficit in both years.
The authors of Asian Development Outlook 2015  do not believe that the launch of the Eurasian Economic Union with Armenia, Belarus, and the Russian Federation will be enough  to counteract the effect of falling oil prices, Russia’s economic troubles or the appreciation of the tenge against the rouble.
