Kazakh Winter Olympics bid modified after IOC visit

Kazakh Winter Olympics bid:  Following a visit from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Kazakhstan has made a series of changes to its bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympics in an attempt to both make its proposal more economically feasible and to reduce the distances between venues. If Kazakhstan were to win the right to host the games over Beijing the skiing  events would now take place at Almatau rather than Shymbuluk and the freestyle and snowboard competitions would take place at Ak Bulak instead of Tau Park. A final decision on who will host the Games will be announced during the annual ICO meeting in Kuala Lumpur on July 31.
