Kazakhstan records 4.3% GDP growth: Kazakhstan’s economy outperformed that of its fellow EEU member states last year by  achieving a GDP growth rate of 4.3%, according to preliminary figures released by the country’s Statistics Committee this week. The Committee’s Chairman Alikhan Smailov attributed the growth to the performance of core sectors including industry, agriculture, construction, trade, transport and telecommunications. The government has set a target of  between 4% and 5% GDP growth for  2015. Times of Central Asia
