Kazakhstan to introduce ‘one window’ policy for investors

One window: As from next year potential investors in Kazakhstan will be able to apply for most of the permits and licences through a single government agency, the Ministry of Investment and Development announced in an internal presentation last week. “Investors will be able to get over 363 permits and licenses through ‘one window’,” it is reported as saying. “This will limit the direct interaction of investors with state authorities and reduce the bureaucratic and administrative burden on investors.”
The new one-stop-shop approach has been developed with the help of PricewaterhouseCoopers and will eventually be complemented by  an online investor support system that will allow investors to register, receive information and submit applications for permits digitally. A new  Investor Service Centre has been set up in Astana’s Transport Tower.
