New Caspian Sea ferry complex: The authorities in Kazakhstan’s western Mangistau region have announced that they are planning to develop a new transport and logistics hub in the port of Kuryk on the country’s Caspian Sea coast. The ferry complex will provide direct embarkment transshipment facilities for international commercial traffic, will have an annual capacity of 4m and will specialise in the handling of consumer goods, grain, petroleum, SUVG, fertilisers and chemicals.
