Kyrgyzstan accession to EEU: EEU Chairman Viktor Khristenko today announced that all the remaining obstacles to Kyrgystan’s accession to membership of the Eurasian Economic Union had been removed. Speaking at the conclusion of the first Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Gorki, Khristenko predicted that the requisite protocols and paperwork should be finalised within a week. The next session of the council – scheduled for May – would address the removal of the remaining barriers to mutual trade between the EEU member states. BeIta
