Kyrgyzstan appoints new Prime Minister: Kyrgyzstan’s ruling three-party coalition has nominated acting Economy Minister Temir Sariev  as the country’s new prime minister, following the resignation of Joomart Otorbaev last week. 
Sariev founded the Kyrgyz Commodity Exchange and is a former General Director the Toton financial and industrial company. He has been prominent on the Kyrgyz political scene since being elected to parliament in 2000, and has been a strong advocate for constitutional reform and active in the fight against corruption.
