Russia signs off on $1bn Kyrgyz development fund

Russia signs off on $1bn Kyrgyz development fund: The Russian government yesterday voted to allocate $500m from the state federal budget to the $1bn Russian-Kyrgyz development fund. The purpose of the fund is partly to  promote economic cooperation between the two countries and partly to modernize Kyrgyzstan’s  economy after it joins the Eurasian Economic Union on May 1.
