So far so good for One Belt One Road, claims Commerce Minister

In the three years since it was launched by President Xi Jinping during a visit to Kazakhstan, the One Belt One Road project had enabled China to set up 75 overseas economic and trade cooperation zones in 35 participating countries and regions which between them had raised over $100bn in taxes  and created around 950,000 jobs, Commerce Minister Gao Hucheng told a news conference in Beijing this week. It had also helped China strengthen ties with countries such as Saudi Arabia and Pakistan in a number of industrial sectors including shipping, trade and transportation.
