Brazilian pork imports to Russia double thanks to sanctions

Brazilian pork imports to Russia  more than doubled  year-on-year in the first eleven months of 2014 as a direct result of the  ban on EU food imports  that were introduced in retaliation for the sanctions imposed following events in Ukraine. Russia accounted for 46.8% of  all Brazilian pork exports in October, and over 60%  of their revenues, according to the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA), Fransisco, Turra, reported on Monday.
