Capital outflow from Russia hits new heights

 Capital outflow from Russia hit a new high for the year of $433.4m  for the week ended 26 August – almost four times the figure for the previous week, according to the Emerging Portfolio Fund Research (EPFR). Earlier in the week, Russia’s Minister of Economic Development Alexei Ulyukayev said that the net outflow of capital from Russia in the current year will peak at  $ 93bn by the year end before dropping to around $70bn in 2016.
