eBay has announced it is impossible to organise a full-fledged operation of its service in the Crimea and is pulling out of the region altogether. “As a global platform for e-commerce, eBay should be able to offer its customers a seamless service in all markets where we operate,” it said in a statement today (January 31). “We regret that we are currently unable to provide our customers in the Crimea high-level support. We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to the time when the circumstances in the region change.” Apple and Paypal have also terminated operations on the peninsula in recent weeks. BFM
