EEU Free Trade Zone with Vietnam on agenda for Medvedev ‘s S-E Asian trip

EEU Free Trade Zone with Vietnam: Russia’s Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is to discuss the possibility of setting up a Free Trade Zone between the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and Vietnam on an official visit there early next month. Medvedev is due to  meet a number of senior Vietnamese leaders, including President  Truong Tan Shang  and Prime Minister Nguni Tan Dung. They are also due to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly  trade and investment; the construction of a nuclear power plant in Vietnam;  several oil and gas projects; and increased cooperation in the fields of science, education, culture and tourism. Medvedev will also be visiting Bangkok, where he will be meeting with his Thai counterpart Prayuth Chan-ocha.
