EU extends sanctions: The European Union has extended economic sanctions against Russia for a further six months, the EU Council’s press officer for foreign affairs Susanne Kiefer tweeted today.
In confirmation of the agreement reached by the EU Permanent Representatives Committee last week, the sanctions will remain in places until at least January 31 next year.
