EU sanctions likely to be extended, Duma’s Pushkov predicts

EU sanctions imposed on Russia after the annexation of Crimea will probably be extended beyond the current July 31 deadline, the chair of the State Duma’s Committee on Foreign Affairs Alexei Pushkov predicted today in an interview with Izvestia. “At the moment, it feels like  the supporters within the European Union  of extending the term   of the sanctions against Russia are stronger than the opponents of such a move,” he said,  “but at the same time the extension of the sanctions’ range is very unlikely.”
