FAS rules in favour of Yandex Google anti-trust suit

Google anti-trust suit: Russia’s Federal Anti-Monopoly Service (FAS) yesterday accused  Google of abusing its market position in the country and said that it was likely to  face penalties as it released its preliminary ruling on the anti-trust suit filed by the US giant’s domestic Russian competitor  Yandex in  February.
The FAS is claiming that Google has violated Russian law by pre-installing certain applications on mobile devices and could subsequently face penalties of up to 15% of its 2014 revenues from this specific part of its Russian operations.
Google Russia declined to comment until it had analysed the decision and declined to make any further comment until then. Shares in Yandex rose by 7% on news of the decision.
