First Republic and Atlas: The Central Bank of Russia today revoked the licences of two more banks. By adopting high-risk lending policies and depositing money in low-quality assets, the First Republic Bank has gone into insolvency, while the Atlas Bank of Moscow has lost its licence for failing to comply with legislation aimed at cracking down on the laundering of proceeds from crime and terrorism.
