Gazprom LNG sales: Gazprom sales of liquefied natural gas increased (LNG) from 2.02bn m³ to 4.5bn m³, the company reported last week. All Gazprom’s LNG gas supplies come from Sakhalin-2 in Russia’s Far East, one of the world’s largest integrated, export-oriented oil and gas projects and Russia’s first offshore gas project. In 2012, Sakhalin-2 added 4.5% to the world’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) capacity and meets almost 9.5% of Japan’s gas needs and 6% of South Korea’s.
