General Motors to suspend production: has announced that it is to suspend production at its St. Petersburg auto assembly plant for two months from mid-March to mid-May and will also be raising its prices due to the weakness and volatility of the rouble. The St. Petersburg plant is GM’s only fully-owned facility in Russia, although it also in a joint venture with  AvtoVAZ. According to the Association of European Business, GM’s Russian sales fell 26% to about 258,000 vehicles last year. The Moscow Times
