Inter Rao may sell coal-fired electricity to China

Russian diversified energy holding company Inter RAO is studying the possibility of building the world’s largest coal-fired power plant to sell electricity to China. CEO Boris Kovalchuk said today that Inter RAO would examine the cost and schedule required to build an 8GW plant which would use coal from the Erkovetskaya deposit in the Amur region of  Russia’s Far East.
