Russian security IT specialists Kaspersky Lab has opened a new representative overseas office in Singapore where it will be working with Interpol’s newly established Global Complex for Innovation (IGCI). The Russian company will provide international police organisation’s new R&D facility with top-level threat intelligence, provide regular updates on the global malware landscape, assist in investigations of cyber-incidents, and train its officers. Kaspersky lab now has 34 overseas offices in 31 countries. “Singapore is one of the most technologically developed countries in the world, while at the same time one of the main financial hubs on the planet,” said CEO Eugene Kaspersky, “and a strong presence here is simply essential for a successful international company. What’s also important is that the Singapore government fully understands the importance of cybersecurity and creates perfect conditions for a business like ours.”
