Nord Stream extension will keep European gas cheap – Medvedev

Nord Stream extension: Laying a second gas pipleine under the Baltic Sea from Russia to Germany will help guarantee Europe’s energy security and keep the cost of Russian gas competitive,  Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev told a Slovenian radio on the eve of a visit to Ljubljana.  Asked about the West’s determination to reduce its dependence on Russian gas,  Medvedev claimed that if Europe turned to other suppliers the cost of gas would soar. “It’s a question of money and of normal commercial considerations,” he said.
