Russian tour operators: Government recommendations that Russian security and law enforcement officers do not travel abroad in the current political climate have contributed to the collapse of four Russian tour operators within a month, according to Russia’s Travel Industry Union, the RUTI. The advice, combined with an economic slump and a weak rouble, has led to a 25% – 50% decline in the number of Russians travelling abroad and has forced the closure of Neva, Labyrynth and two smaller travel agencies.
