Russia to begin unmanned drones tests later this year

Unmanned drones tests: Russia is planning to test unmanned aerial drones capable of long haul flights and performing combat duties this year, its Deputy Defence Minister Yury Borisov said last week. The announcement indicates that the Sokol and Tranzas design bureaux are on track with their plans to build combat drones capable of carrying 5-ton and 1-ton payloads respectively by 2017.
