Russian agriculture development programme launched

Russian agriculture development programme: The Russian government is to allocate “tens of billions of roubles” to the development of some sectors of its agricultural industry, Prime Minster Dmitry Medvedev said earlier this week. Activities that are likely to benefit as the government seeks to cushion the impact of the ban on EU food imports include fish breeding, hothouse vegetable growing, horticulture, beef cattle breeding and dairy cattle husbandry.
