Russian high-speed internet on way for all

Russian high-speed internet: 97% of Russians will have access to high-speed internet within five years, according to the Ministry of Communications’ chief Nikolai Nikiforov on an internet forum this week. Amendments to the country’s existing Communications Law will see broadband services and public access to the web being made available in small towns via payphones, with fibre-optic cable being laid to every settlement of more than 250 people.
