Russian internet advertising bucks trend as print and TV suffer

Russian internet advertising grew by 9% year on year in the first quarter of 2015, bucking a trend which  saw advertising revenue in print drop by over  30 % , on TV by 22%, on radio by 25% and by 27% in the outdoor sector. Even the digital  medium was not immune with an increase in contextual advertising concealing a drop in demand for banner ads. Overall, advertising fell  by  17% compared to Q1  2014, according to the  Russian Association of Communication Agencies (ACAR).
