Russian online expenditure on foreign websites set to double

Russian online expenditure: Russian consumers look set to spend up to RUB 240bn ($5.1bn) on foreign commerce websites this year, more than twice last year’s total, according to the  Association of Online Vendors and Enter Vision, the research arm of Russian online retailer Enter.ru.
Alibaba’s consumer arm AliExpress, eBay and Amazon were the three most popular sides with clothes accounting  for 48.8 % of sales this year and accessories for 34.6% .
Russians spend an average of RUB 2,750 ($58.6) on average online overseas transaction, although more than 50% of  buyers limit themselves to an average of  RUB 1,500. The Moscow Times
