Breakthrough for Russian organic farming sector

Russian organic farming sector: The State Duma Committee for Agriculture is preparing a draft law which will give exported food products GMO or “organic” status, provided they meet certain criteria relating to the health of the animals and products and the absence of agrochemicals, pesticides, antibiotics and hormones in the production process. The development is being hailed as a major step forward for the Russian organic farming sector and its ability to gain market share in Europe. Izvestia
