Russian personal data law threatens overseas sites

Russian personal data law: Russians may be forced to stop using a whole range of non-national e-commerce sites when amendments to the data protection law that were ratified last week come into force in September 2016. The law stipulates that all personal data of Russian citizens will have to be stored on local services, which many people believe will make it impossible for Russians to book things such as hotels and travel tickets or to buy goods from overseas websites. mk-ru
