Russian reindeer industry steps in to fill gap

Russian reindeer industry: With US and European meat disappearing from supermarkets across Russia, producers of reindeer meat are stepping in to fill the gap, particularly in its norther regions. Schools and hospitals in Chukota are about to be supplied from local reindeer herds to replace American imports, while Russian channels have  started promoting reindeer delicacies from producers in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
