Russian video advertising expenditure grows by 50%


Russian video advertising grew by 50% year-on-year in the first half of 2014 to reach RUB1.9bn, according to one of Russia’s largest media companies Gazprom-Media Digital (GMPD), far outstripping the overall internet advertising sector which increased by 28% over the same period. Video advertising for the pharmaceutical sector grew by 86%, consumer goods by 56%, manufacturers and automotive by 49% and mobile operators by 45%.Vedomosti
