Skolkovo Foundation planning permanent office in Vladivostok

The Skolkovo Foundation, the organisation behind Moscow’s high-tech business incubator and research-based Skolkovo Innovation Centre, is planning to open a representative office in the Pacific port city of Vladivostok, the head of its space cluster Sergey Zhukov was quoted as saying in East-West Digital News last week. Zhukov was speaking at a recent “beauty parade” of 13 would-be start-ups in the Far Eastern city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur, an important regional and national centre of civil and military aircraft manufacturing. The Komsomolsk event is part of the  Foundation’s  Russian Startup Tour which today pitched up in Kazan. From there it will move to Yekaterinburg (11-12March), Almaty (19-20 March), St Petersburg (25-26 March),  Vladivostok (2-3 April), Krasnoyarsk (6-7 April), Minsk (14-17 April), Ufa (22-23 April), and the Moscow region (29-30 April), before finishing up in the Skolkovo Startup Village on the 2nd and 3rd of June.
