Tele2 wins contract to develop Moscow telecoms network

Moscow telecoms: The authorities in Moscow have awarded mobile operator Tele2  a five-year contract to develop the Russian capital’s  3G and 4G telecommunications network, the company’s  CEO Mikhail Noskov confirmed today after signing an agreement with Artem Ermolaev, head of the city’s services in the capital Department of Information Technologies. Under the terms of the agreement, Tele2 will “not only to invest heavily in the construction of network infrastructure, but [will] also to support the government’s program, aimed at promoting economic and social development of the region”, Noskov added.
