Yamal LNG: Total CEO Patrick Pouyanne expects to be able unblock the $27bn worth of funding that it has put in place to develop the Yamal LNG project by the end of the year. His announcement is seen as confirmation that the French company remains committed to the largest hydrocarbon project in the Arctic – that will involve the drilling of more than 200 well and three LNG trains – that it is developing jointly with Novatek.“It’s progressing well,” he said. “We think we’ll get the funds before the end of the year.”
