Trade Minister floats possibility of Russian Helicopters privatisation

Russian Helicopters privatisation: The Russian government may sell its stake in Russian Helicopters this year and possibly to a foreign investor, the country’s  Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said last week. “We’re always searching for strategic, portfolio investors,” he said.
According to the company’s website, there were 8,500 Russian helicopters operating in over 100 countries at the end of 2014, with Russian Helicopters accounting for approximately 85% of the rotorcraft market in Russia, 14% of worldwide sales, 24% of the global military helicopter fleet, 35% of the global combat helicopter fleet and 50% of the medium-heavy transport helicopter fleet.
